Wonder no more!
My next free tour of North Burial Ground (NBG) takes place on Friday, August 22nd at 6:30 pm.
Each participant will get a free small cone of ice cream at Like No Udder. Ice cream is following the tour, this night only - no rain-checks. Cemetery tourists will receive a top secret free ice cream password. The shop is 2 minutes from NBG!
I have two tours that I run. This night will most likely be a blend of the two. I'll decide based on the size of the group and generally how familiar the group is with NBG. You can expect to learn bit of NBG history, graveyard symbolism, visit some unique epitaphs and cenotaphs while meeting several NBG residents - and learning about their lives and deaths!
Even if you’ve been on my, or other NBG tours, you’ll certainly learn something new!
DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN GATE!
The tour steps off from inside the Rochambeau gate. This unmarked pedestrian gate is is right by the bus shelter at the intersection of N. Main & Rochambeau. Park on N. Main (plenty of free parking) as NBG will be closed - it'll be just us, the coyotes and ????????? The tour last about 90 minutes.
