Dave Thompson is best-known for having been the actor in the Tinky Winky costume in the world famous TV show 'Teletubbies’. He has also performed his stand-up comedy act in forty-nine countries, and several cruise ships. Known for his one-liners and absurd persona, Dave has written material for many other comics, including Harry Hill, Omid Djalili, and Stewart Lee.

Since 2021 he’s had speaking parts in 'The Munsters', a Hollywood feature film, ’The Last Kingdom’ on Netflix, and three American drama series - ‘The Continental’, 'Fallen', and 'The Pendragon Cycle'. He plays a Royalist officer in the new drama series 'Royal K*ll List' (started 12th March, Sky History), and is in Harry Hill's new independent film 'The Last Caveman'.
