Výstava Exposition Dump si pohrává s pojmem z literatury a filmového, seriálového i videoherního vyprávění, označujícím zahlcení křečovitým způsobem výkladu o postavách, ději a fikčním světě. Obvykle negativně vnímaná nepřirozenost “expozičního výlevu” je tady převrácená do intenzivního přetržitého vyprávění prostřednictvím soch, objektů a obrazů. Umělost této expozice může připomínat frontální výuku ve škole, poddání se invazivní péči nebo snaze racionalizovat si intenzivní vjemy a rozvolněnou posloupnost ze snů. Malby a instalace Klaudie Figury pracují často s prostředím převážně vzdělávacích a zdravotnických institucí jako úzkostných prostor podněcujících k myšlenkovému úniku. Jáchym Šimek staví rozsáhlé reliéfní scénické výjevy na pomezí snové logiky, herních mechanismů a osobních mýtů. Setkání jejich prací vytváří situaci, v níž konstruovanost vyprávěného a informační přetlak je záměrem a nikoli slabinou.
Klaudia Figura (*2000, ona/její, oni/jejich) je vizuální umělectvo, které žije a pracuje v polské Poznani. V roce 2024 absiolvovala magisterské studium na Univerzitě umění v Poznani (UAP) v oboru grafika. Ve své umělecké praxi pracuje s tématem nostalgie, která vychází ze zkušenosti dospívání na přelomu tisíciletí a životem na okraji společnosti. Zajímá se o to, jak samotné socio-kulturní prostředí vyjadřuje hierarchii a moc. Prostředníctvim malby, sochy a instalace vytváří vlastní poetickou optiku, ve které splétá úvahy o sociální dynamice a kulturních změnách a reinterpretuje zdánlivě všední témata. Pracuje s různými řemeslnými technikami a DIY postupy, na pozadí kterých si pohrává s hranicí reálného a umělého, živoucího a mrtvého. Její práce bylo možné vidět na několika skupinových výstavách, jako například National Cold Weapon Fair v Promocyjna Gallery ve Varšavě (2024), Cursed Moorland v Turnus ve Varšavě (2024), Skrajnia v BWA Warszawa (2025), Thaw v The Tiger Room v Mnichově (2025) nebo na samostatné výstavě Bitter Heart v Łęctwo Gallery v Poznani (2024).
Jáchym Šimek (*2000, on/jeho) je vizuální umělec, který žije a působí v Praze. Momentálně studuje v ateliéru Malba III (u Josefa Bolfa, Jakuba Hoška a Nik Timkové) na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze. Jeho skulpturální díla, reliéfy a instalace vychází do velké míry z jeho obliby divadelní a operní scénografie a emocionálního prožívání architektury. Ve své práci různě rozkládá a prolíná zorné pole, ve kterém se děj otevírá do nelineární časovosti, přičemž zmnožený úhel pohledu navozuje dojem přeostřování z celků do detailů a mizanscény. V některých reliéfech vytváří efekt rybího oka, jindy buduje dramatický prostřih, podobný hororovým “jumpscare” lekačkám ve filmu a videohrách. Pro jeho práci jsou také důležité principy vyprávění, které odráží obrazový plán reliéfů plný záhybů a připomíná spíš storyboard s sekvenčními políčky. Jeho díla se objevila na výstavách jako Zlínský salon mladých v Krajské galerii ve Zlíně (2024), Podobenství v Galerii města Blanska (2025), Spark Detektor v Berlínském modelu v Praze (2025), Fix Quick How v City Surfer Office v Praze (2025) nebo Wandering by Pinning v galerii Kvalitář v Praze (2024). Svou dosavadní práci loni uceleně představil na samostatné výstavě Space fabric/WOODEN PARTICLE(poem) v pražské Karpuchina Gallery (2023).

The Exposition Dump exhibition plays with a term from literature and film, TV series and video game narratives, denoting an overwhelming convulsive way of explaining characters, plot and fictional worlds. The usually negatively perceived unnaturalness of the exposition dump is here subverted into an intense discontinuous narrative through sculptures, objects and images. The art of this exposition can resemble frontal schooling, submitting to invasive care or trying to rationalise intense sensations and loose sequences from dreams. Klaudia Figura's paintings and installations often work with the environments of predominantly educational and medical institutions as anxiety-inducing spaces for thought escape. Jáchym Šimek builds large-scale relief staged scenes on the borderline of dream logic, game mechanisms and personal myths. The meeting of their works creates a situation in which the constructedness of the narrative and information overload is an intention and not a weakness.
Klaudia Figura (*2000, she/her, they/them) is a visual artist living and working in Poznań, Poland. In 2024 they graduated from the University of Arts in Poznań (UAP) with a Master's degree in Graphic Design. In their artistic practice, they work with the theme of nostalgia, based on the experience of growing up at the turn of the millennium and living on the margins of society. Klaudia Figura is recently interested in how the socio-cultural environment expresses hierarchy and power. Through painting, sculpture and installation, they create their own poetic optics in which they weave together reflections on social dynamics and cultural change, reinterpreting seemingly mundane themes. They work with various craft techniques and DIY practices, against which they play with the boundaries of the real and the artificial, the living and the dead. Their work has been featured in several exhibitions, such as National Cold Weapon Fair at Promocyjna Gallery in Warsaw (2024), Cursed Moorland at Turnus in Warsaw (2024), Skrajnia at BWA Warszawa (2025), Thaw at The Tiger Room in Munich (2025) and the solo exhibition Bitter Heart at Łęctwo Gallery in Poznań (2024).
Jáchym Šimek (*2000, he/him) is a visual artist who lives and works in Prague. He is currently studying in the studio of Painting III (under supervision of Josef Bolf, Jakub Hošek and Nik Timková) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His sculptural works, reliefs and installations are largely based on his interest in theatre and opera scenography and his emotional experience of architecture. His work variously expands and blends the field of view, in which the plot opens into a non-linear temporality, with the multiplied point of view giving the impression of a refocusing from wholes to details and mise-en-scene. In some reliefs, it creates a fisheye effect, while at other times it builds a dramatic interlude, similar to the horror "jumpscare" scares in film and video games. Also important to his work are the principles of narrative, which echoes the fold-filled pictorial plan of the reliefs and is more reminiscent of a storyboard with sequential boxes. His works have appeared in exhibitions such as Zlín Youth Salon at the Regional Gallery in Zlín (2024), Parables at the Blansko City Gallery (2025), Spark Detector at the Berlínskej model in Prague (2025), Fix Quick How at the City Surfer Office in Prague (2025) and Wandering by Pinning at the Kvalitář Gallery in Prague (2024). Last year, he presented his work in a comprehensive solo exhibition Space fabric/WOODEN PARTICLE(poem) at Karpuchina Gallery in Prague (2023).
