Unfamiliar Retellings of Familiar Myths and Fairy Tales Workshop

We are all familiar with myths like The Labors of Hercules and fairy tales like The Frog Prince; they were told to us as children and are widespread as inspiration for or symbols in books songs and movies. In this workshop we will defamiliarize the stories we know and love by reimagining and rewriting them in different perspectives. Participants will be given the opportunity to write to multiple prompts as well as share their work if desired. This workshop is an exploration; no prior writing experience needed.
