About this Event

This hands-on, practical workshop will introduce you to the myriad ways that AI can support your teaching practice. It's not about using the 'next big thing'; it's about giving you back the time you'd rather spend with your students.

In 90 minutes, we’ll build practical, tool-agnostic workflows that streamline teaching tasks. We’ll keep a pedagogy-first lens with clear privacy, ethics, and academic integrity guardrails.

We’ll cover

  • Drafting and adapting course materials (syllabi, rubrics, prompts)
  • Scaling feedback and assessment—while you stay in the driver’s seat
  • Streamlining routine administrative tasks (announcements, emails, LMS chores)
  • Brainstorming examples, cases, and activities tailored to your course
  • Using AI for reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional growth

You’ll leave with

  • Reusable prompts and templates customized to your course
  • A short list of AI workflows you can implement this week
  • Tips for transparent, student-centered use (privacy, equity, integrity)
  • A simple decision guide for when—and when not—to use AI

Who should attend

Faculty teaching online, hybrid, or in person. Beginners welcome; no coding or prior AI experience required.
