Pollinators Volunteer Program
Thursday, August 14, 2025
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
NE Portland | Location provided upon registration completion.
Join the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland's Climate Action Committee for a summer pollinators volunteer program with The Portland Fruit Tree Project. Portland Fruit Tree Project is a grassroots non-profit gleaning organization that provides a community-based solution to a critical and growing need in Portland and beyond: access to healthy food and the benefits provided by trees including clean air, shade, and food. By empowering neighbors to share in the harvest and care of urban fruit trees, they prevent waste, build community knowledge and resources, and create sustainable ways to obtain healthy, locally grown food.
Together we will be harvesting and caring for the trees in a local community orchard, and learning about the mason bee population that helps the orchard thrive.
Rain or shine, we hope you'll join us for this impactful, all-ages program! Dinner will be provided following the program. All volunteers are invited to stick around following the program for the Climate Action Committee's bi-monthly meeting.
