Garaj Mahal blends jazz, funk, rock, Indian classical, and groove-heavy improvisation into a sound that defies genre boundaries. Featuring guitarist Fareed Haque, bassist Kai Eckhardt, drummer/vocalist Sean Rickman, and keyboardist Eric Levy, this all-star quartet is a staple of the jazz fusion and jam scenes. Their live shows are high-energy, virtuosic explorations into rhythmic and harmonic freedom.
🎸 Garaj Mahal’s 2007 album Blueberry Cave won “Best Jam Album” at the Independent Music Awards, and their members have played with everyone from John McLaughlin and Zakir Hussain to Herbie Hancock and Maxwell. If you’re a fan of fearless fusion, this is the show for you.
