QTBIPOC Pickleball PDX - Summer 2025

So good, we did it twice! Announcing the second of the QTBIPOC Pickleball PDX Event!

Are you curious about pickleball? Or are you a seasoned player looking for more community? Whether you're entirely new or a pro, we invite you to join us at Portland Tennis & Education for our second ever QTBIPOC Pickleball PDX event!

This is an event to make pickleball more accessible to queer and trans Black and Indigenous people and people of color, including but not limited to people who are Asian, Hispanic, Latinx, and SWANA. We welcome all intersecting identities, including mixed race and adopted people. Allies to these communities are also welcome.

This event will be a friendly and social place to learn pickleball rules, play with friends, and connect with others in the community. At the top of every hour, we'll host a short beginners workshop to learn the basics of the game. We'll be running six courts total, with some reserved for new players and some for more advanced players. Come for a bit or stay the whole night!

This is a free event. Paddles and balls will be availabe. We'll have water and have some food available (snacks and cold beverages!). Please feel free to bring your own food and drinks.

Portland Tennis & Education is a non-profit social impact racquet center that providers afterschool and summer education for kids, a large number of whom come from Spanish speaking homes. In addition to providing the space for free, they are also offering 30% off any merch from their shop!
