3rd Saturday Walk

Name: Wells, Elk Point, Himes Park Loop

Start Location: IB Wells Parking Lot Near the Food Carts
Start Time: 9 am (arrive 10-15 min. early so we can start promptly at 9am)
Distance: 2.55 Mi.
Elevation Gain: 208 ft.
Average Pace: 2 mph
Bus Information: Many routes stop at Sunset and Capital Hwy. Due to schedule changes, check Tri Met for bus information
Special Notes: Temperatures will be warm. Dress accordingly; bring water. Although no special challenges, bring walking steps if you want.

We will meet in the IB Wells HS parking lot near the food carts at Sunset and Capital Hwy. Please arrive by 8:45am to start at 9:00am.

We will head up to Dewitt Park to wend our way through the neighborhood to reach Elk Point Lookout. The day should be clear for a great view of the city below. We will then walk down the path through Terwilliger Park and enter Himes Park after crossing Capital Hwy. We'll then head back to the high school on SW Chestnut.

Again, although it will be a bit cooler than it has been, it will still be a warm day. Be prepared.

Bring water and snacks and dress appropriately for the weather. Kids and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome, but no smoking for the health and consideration of others.
