DASH WAY OF EATING (June 11, October 8 )
What you eat affects your chances of developing high blood pressure (hypertension). Research shows that high blood pressure can be prevented-and lowered-by following the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) eating plan, which includes eating less sodium.
LOWERING SODIUM INTAKE (July 9, November 12)
It's clear that Americans have a taste for salt, but salt plays a role in high blood pressure. Everyone, including kids, should reduce their sodium intake to less than 2,300 milligrams of sodium a day (about 1 teaspoon of salt). Adults age 51and older, African Americans of any age, and individuals with high blood pressure, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease should further reduce their sodium intake to 1,500 mg a day.

Shopping, Preparing and Cooking for Better Blood Pressure Management will cover Nutrition and Blood Pressure Facts, Food labels and shopping for blood pressure friendly foods, How to prepare and cook food for better blood pressure management, Salts, Herbs and Spices.
HEART HEALTHY EATING (September 10)
This seminar will be a comprehensive overview of lifelong heart-healthy eating habits. The presentation will emphasize the importance of balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and sustainable lifestyle changes to support heart health. It will also address common myths and misconceptions about heart-healthy diets.
