Embark on an adventure through West Lake Nature Preserve to discover animals, insects, plants, and fungi that call this nature preserve home. Help Portage Parks & Recreation, the Portage District Library, and Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy catalog the area's flora and fauna as we work toward a collective goal of identifying and counting the organisms around us. This family-friendly event offers engaging activities for both youth and adults. Learn how to use apps, field guides, and other tools to help you on your journey to becoming a citizen scientist.
