Are you a beginner to Open Water? Have you signed up for an open water event or a triathlon? Never have swam in open water? Are you feeling a little anxious?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, this is the session for you !
One day Open Water camp at Sasamat Lake, Port Moody, BC
8am to 10am , 1 hour break, 11am to 1pm (4 hours of OW training, 1 hour break )
Paid Parking in effect after 10 am

We will be covering the following:
How to get ready for swimming in open water, acclimatizing to cold water.
Stroke improvement for the Open Water
Wear a wet suit or no wet suit ? How does a wet suit change your stroke.
How to swim around the buoy, how to sight in open water, and how to control your breathing
How to stay calm and stay focused through out your event and being a able to navigate through the course
Suitable for anyone who is doing their first open water swim, or triathlon, or thinking of getting into this sport.
Must be able to swim 400m comfortably in a pool. Wetsuit not required. Swim buddy required for final swim (loaners available)
