Recruitment Meeting: Become a part-time/on-call firefighter

The Plymouth Fire Department is set to hire paid part-time/on-call firefighters – and interested community members are encouraged to apply. Applications are due Sunday, June 29.

A final recruitment meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Plymouth Fire Station 2, 12000 Old Rockford Road. Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend one of the meetings to speak with firefighters and ask questions. Attendees are encouraged to bring their spouse or significant other.

“If I could offer one key piece of advice, it would be to get to a recruitment meeting,” said Baker. “Our team will be there to answer your questions, show you around the fire station and give you a glimpse into what being a part-time/on-call firefighter is all about.”

The position is designed to be flexible to accommodate parents with children and those working full-time jobs. No experience is needed, and paid training and schooling is provided.
