6th Annual Men's Woodbat Slowpitch Softball Tournament to benefit the Plymouth Athletic Club (PAC).
We are currently open to 16 teams with the first 16 teams that pay the entry being confirmed. If there are more than 10 teams then this event will be both Saturday and Sunday (for reference, there were 10 teams in 2024)
Rules:
1. $300 entry per team
2. Wood bats only. No corndogs allowed
3. Legal pitch arc is 6-10 ft (ASA/USA)
4. Strike zone will be the plate plus extended mat
5. All batters start with a 1-1 count. No waste
6. Tagging up is allowed
7. 1 EH is permitted
8. No stealing or bunting allowed
9. No metal cleats. If a player is caught with metal cleats, they will be removed from the game
10. 1 HR per inning per team. Any HR after that is an out. A HR is any batted ball where a player touches all four bases regardless of errors. In the event a ball out of play or 4-base-error results in a HR, the runner may remain at 3rd and not be forced into taking a HR
11. Teams will be required to submit a roster before playing their 1st game. Players caught playing for more than one team will be asked to leave and offending team will forfeit the game
12. Home team will be determined via double coin flip until championship game. Winner’s bracket team will have choice. If 2nd game is necessary, a coin flip will determine home team
13. Safety line at home: all runners going home must cross the safety line to the right of home plate for a run to count. Touching home plate will count as an out. Defense must make any play at home plate and not the safety line. All plays at home are force plays (no tags)
14. Commitment line: line between 3rd base and safety line at home. Once a runner crosses the commitment line, they cannot return to 3rd base. If a player returns to 3rd after crossing the commitment line they shall be out (crossing and re-crossing is fine as long as 3rd base is not touched)
15. Courtesy runners are permitted only in the case of in-game injury. The injured player is not permitted to return the remainder of the game. Courtesy runner may be any rostered player, but if that player is on base and due up to bat, he will be called out at the plate
16. Please arrive 30 minutes before you are scheduled to play. Once a game finishes there will be a 5-minute grace period before the next game starts. If you are not ready to play after that window it will be considered a forfeit. It is expected to be warmed up prior to your game time as there is plenty of space to do so
17. Games will be 7 innings with run rules as follows: 20 after 4, 15 after 5, and 10 after 6. A new inning may not be started after 60 minutes (exception: championship games)
18. No grills on-site. Concessions will be provided by Plymouth Athletic Club with burgers, dogs, pulled pork, etc
