Composting - Turn your Trash into Treasure!

JOIN US for this *free* hands-on workshop for both adult caregivers and their children!

Hosted by Shenandoah Folk School and the Central Shenandoah Valley Extension Master Gardeners

Caregivers and children of all ages are welcome to attend!

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Turn your trash to treasure! Composting is the natural decomposition of leaves, grass clippings and other organic materials. Learn how to ditch the expensive additives by expediting the creation of your own “black gold”. Tales from the compost bin will be shared as well as troubleshooting tips.

Registration is REQUIRED to ensure that we have enough materials for everyone. Please register each individual over 4 years old who will be in attendance. Workshop will be held at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office on 965 Pleasant Valley Road.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Elissa Parish is an Extension Master Gardener and a Master Composter. She practices multiple methods of composting and is passionate about sharing her science-based education and her passion with others!
