EVENT CAP:
-The attendance for this event is capped at 24 individuals, and the order of responses will determine who can attend. If you do not receive an email, you are approved to attend. However, if you receive an email from an organizer stating that you have been put on the waitlist, unfortunately, you will not be able to attend.
COVID SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
1)Members are required to follow the host masking policy, which means wearing a mask when playing if any other player wishes to do so. This is to protect the health and privacy of our members and has been agreed upon at multiple previous events. This policy will remain in effect for the foreseeable future.
Eating at the table while playing is not allowed.
If members choose to eat or drink at our host locations, they will do so in a separate area from where other members are playing.
All cards used will be inspected by the co-organizer before use and placed on each table. They will also be inspected by the co-organizer at the end of the event and will be thrown away if necessary.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Join us for friendly, non-competitive, and fun games of euchre! We're a welcoming group, but you must be over the age of 21 and have a working knowledge of euchre to participate.
We meet once a week all year long, switching between event venues. To find out where we'll be playing, check our Facebook page for upcoming events.
We play the hands we are dealt this includes Farmer's Hand of nines and tens. We also play stick the dealer. The dealer is selected by the first Jack at the start of each new game. Winners stay at the table, losers move, and everyone switches partners. To order up trump, you must have natural trump in your hand. Only the dealer can order/pick up trump without natural trump. Loners are 4 points, euchres are 2 points, and if you euchre someone on a loner, it's 4 points. If there are any disputes, we handle them at the table, understanding that this is a social game played amongst friends.
We usually gather around 5 PM to eat before playing, but you're not required to eat at any venue. Keep in mind that we play for free at each venue. People come and go, and it's not an issue if you need to leave early or arrive late. If there's an uneven number of players, some may have to sit out a game.
During the winter season or inclement weather, please check this website to see if any meetups have been canceled. This information will be updated by 2 PM on the day of the event.
Please feel free to play the game as you wish. However, please refrain from offering help or directions unless someone specifically asks for it. Remember that this group is intended to be fun and social, so enjoy yourself!
