Kathy Armstrong, one of Pittsford Fine Art's founding members, is about to embark on a new journey with her husband Jim! They'll be selling everything and moving to Scotland this fall, where Jim has dual citizenship, so August is her last month as a member of the gallery.
Kathy has enjoyed being part of the arts community in Rochester these past 8 years, and has especially loved being a part of Pittsford Fine Art. "The caliber of original art by these 32 regional gallery members is outstanding, and a real asset to the region," says Kathy. "I feel fortunate for all the opportunities I've had in the Rochester area and always tell people what a strong arts community it has."

HEADING FOR THE HILLS
Kathy and Jim will be heading to Stirling, Scotland, the 'Gateway to the Highlands.' There is even a castle on a hill. Quite a few shows have filmed in this ancient, small city including Monty Python, Game of Thrones, and Outlander.
THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME
Well, most things in Kathy's life are about to change, but one thing that won't is that she'll still be able to teach her virtual watercolor class. Of course, she will have lots of new material to work with. Students can join from anywhere. If you want to be on her email list to hear when that class will start just send an email to let her know.
LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN
If you're also looking for an adventure there is a real possibility that a painting workshop in Stirling may be on the horizon once Kathy is settled. Again, just make sure you’re on her email list so you are kept up to date on when that may happen.
