Bloomfield Sign Island Community Clean-Up

Join your Bloomfield Neighbors to help clean up & plant flowers at the Gateway to our Neighborhood Business District!

We will be splitting the work over 2 weekends:

#1 Weekend: SATURDAY, JUNE 21st
8:30AM - 12PM
Weeding and Mulching
Come help pick out weeds, clean out trash, and lay down buckets of mulch to help keep weeds down and keep moisture in the soil. Come ready to get your hands dirty!

#2 Weekend: SATURDAY, JUNE 28th
8:30AM - 12PM
Planting and Celebration
Come help plant a variety of annuals and perennial flowers to brighten up the gateway into Bloomfield. Thanks to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) for their donation of annual flowers, and Deb Gross's office for their donation of native perennial seedlings from the City Farms program.

And thanks to great neighbor Anthony Vaccarello who has donated so much of his time and energy to being a steward of the Sign Island, these 2 weekends wouldn't be possible without him.

Come to one day, come to both days, stay for a little time, or stay the whole time. All ages welcomed. Bring water bottles, gloves, and tools if you have them!
