Presented by Partners in Racial Justice & Chatham County Unity Coalition, Race Amity Day is a celebration of art, music, song, poetry, theatre, storytelling, children’s activities, & More. The
theme for 2025 is “One Human Family”, which invites everyone to come together in unity and compassion. Join us Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 1 pm –7 pm at the Chatham County Agriculture &
Conference Center located at U.S. Hwy 64 West Business, Pittsboro, NC. The event is free. Everyone is welcome!
The exhibit is open to both adults and students in kindergarten through 12th grade, whether they attend public school, private school, or are home-schooled. Deliver your art on June 7th, 2025
during Race Amity Day from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center 1192 U.S. Hwy 64 West Business, Pittsboro, NC. While we hope artists, students, and parents will attend the event, teachers may drop of work at 12:00 noon.
Award winners will be selected by Chatham Artists Guild’s professional artists and announced at 3:00 PM. Artists do not have to be present to win. Art is to be picked up at 7:00 P.M. or contact
Leslie Palmer (contact info below) to make other arrangements.
To be eligible, 2D artwork must be able to be reproduced at 8 x 10 (horizontal format only) and be ready to hang on a hook. 3D pieces must fit on a table. The art must be original. The theme “One
Human Family" must be reflected in the art or words. A card with the artist’s name, title of the piece, and contact info must accompany each piece of art and poem.

Provided we have a sponsor, all winning student artists and poets will have their work reproduced in the “Race Amity Day 2026 Calendar.” We hope to print 3,000 calendars for distribution throughout the county.
