Do you want to create a thriving system for raising healthy farm animals, while also cultivating a healthy ecosystem on your land? Done wisely, pasture based animal husbandry can be a powerful way to heal the land.
Join us on Saturday, June 21 (5-7pm) at the Land & Table Amherst monthly potluck and skillshare, hosted by Brooklyn Hills Ranch, a family farm focused on holistically raising regenerative meats for the local community.
With over 20 years of experience in holistic ranch management Fred Lyssy will unpack the basics of multi-species grazing and the wisdom of not just raising animals for healthy meat, but understanding what is needed for optimal soil health and what is happening beneath the ground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
(Q) Are your events kid friendly?
==================
(A) Yes, many families attend our events. Kids are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult throughout the event. But keep in mind there is no childcare and we do not currently offer kids programming. Children left unattended will be given a rambunctious puppy and a frappuccino. ;)
(Q) Can I bring my dog?
==================
(A) No. We love dogs but they need to stay home. Except for the possible frappucino puppy that we theoretically would provide. You've been warned ;)
(Q) What kind of food should I bring?
==================
(A) If it's your first time don't feel pressure to impress anyone. Keep it simple: bread and butter, chips and salsa, watermelon, etc. Want to go the extra mile? Put together a casserole. Bring enough to feed a handful of people. After that you'll get the hang of it. Don't have time to make anything? Come anyway!
(Q) Are Land & Table events free and open to the public?
==================
(A) Our monthly potlucks are free and open to the public but if you value what we do, we ask that you consider making a donation on our website or when you come. This helps us with admin, management, event organizing costs, and advancing our mission to create a thriving local foodshed.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to connecting, equipping, and supporting the local food movement in the Lynchburg, Virginia region. Learn more about us at:
