PAPI has a long tradition of having a Paint Out Opening Weekend (For Fly fishing season) at Silver Creek. Located in the Lovely, tiny town of Picabo, ID. Yes, people world class fishing! (See the end of this post for more Fishing details)
PAPI painters can find all kinds of picturesque opportunities for painting. Plus, there is usually a Party Friday night at Picabo Angler, a lunchtime Bar B Que at the Preserve, and lots of free (Dry) camping!
I will probably get there Friday afternoon to get a great camping spot. Nocturne anyone???
Let's plan to paint Saturday and Sunday. Monday is up to you. I will probably head over to Fairfield. Check out the photos (under the Discussion Tab for this event). Scenic Camas Prairie! Very casual, so plan to do whatever schedule makes you happy.
I will have my PAPI Banner on my truck so you can find me.
Message me for more info.
Dry Camping:
Point of Rocks (Also called Silver Creek East on all the signs) is the party camp, be careful where you park, it gets so crowded you can get blocked in.
Willows (Also called Silver Creek West on all the signs) Is where I will be. Is more relaxed and is a great float tube, take out point!
Hayspur campground at Hayspur Hatchery and
Stanton Crossing Campground (Fish and Game-I think)
Full Hookup:
Picabo Angler Silver Creek RV Park is the only one that has Electricity and Water. Contact Picabo Angler

Also AirBNB and Hotels in Bellevue
Come early to get a great spot. For the non painting, fishing spouse, they can visit Picabo Angler for all the details. Inside the preserve: (Special rules) Fly Fishing only. No Dogs on the Preserve, but ok everywhere else. Float tubes in certain areas and lots of rules around that! If you have a larger floating craft, like one w oars, you can float from the road to the Willows, since its outside the Preserve and literally my favorite float other than Henry's Fork!
