Vampire Bird

Vampire Bird is the result of a ten year collaboration between New England based songwriters and musicians Will Kindler and Scott Lumsden, who together have been writing and recording since a chance meeting in 2014. With a large body of work difficult to replicate live as a two piece, the band was joined beginning in 2024 by talented multi-percussionist Rick Carr with the intention to finish and release their collaborative efforts, as well as take the project live to the stage. Influences have included Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Edith Piaf and Joanna Newsom with a harder driving undercurrent reminiscent of early T-Rex, Radiohead and a bit of Joy Division. Their first full length record is planned for release later this year.
