Chrism Mass
UPDATE: After carefully considering feedback from the clergy who responded to his email, the Bishop has decided NOT to celebrate the Chrism Mass on April 8 at the Cathedral as previously announced. Instead, we will celebrate the Chrism Mass together at Synod as we did last year.

This year’s Chrism Mass will be held at Synod, as it was last year. The Synod dates are October 16-18, 2025.
The Chrism Mass is a special liturgical celebration usually held during or around Holy Week. During this celebration, the Holy Oils for the year are blessed, and the clergy of the diocese renew their ordination vows. As such, the Chrism Mass is a powerful expression of the diocese's unity, as clergy and laypeople gather around the bishop in worship, celebration, and renewal. We hope you'll join us.
As a reminder, all active clergy are expected to attend the Chrism Mass and Synod, like the Clergy Retreat, unless they have expressed permission from Bishop Morales not to attend.
