Community Skillshare: Garden Families

When neighbors choose to freely share their skills, and others choose to make time to learn them, our communities grow stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for potential disruption!

This month: Weeds and vegetables are often closely related. Let's examine our favorite veggies in the garden and compare them to their cousins outside of the garden. Learning to recognize major plant families can help us understand our food preferences as well as nutritional aspects of the plants we eat and, especially, those we don't eat. (And why!) Plus it's just fun–and important to be able to call the beings we share this planet with by name. The garden is a great place to start getting acquainted, as Sally White shares some plant lore and ID tips.
