EVERYBODY IS ASKING WHY WE ARE DOING THIS PLEASE READ BELOW:
For nearly 50 years, the Workmen's Circle Educational Center of Ohio has brought the joy of live Klezmer music to the Cleveland community through our Free Concert in the Park, a celebration of culture, tradition, and togetherness. With the exception of a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic and last year’s unexpected setback, this concert has remained a vibrant part of our city’s summer.
Unfortunately, we are currently facing a significant challenge. Last year, the endowment that supported this beloved event was misappropriated by those entrusted to safeguard it. While we continue to pursue legal action to recover what was lost, the costs have been substantial. Rather than allow this setback to silence the music, we’ve made the decision to move forward with the concert this year.
Now, we’re asking for your help.
Your support will help cover the costs of this year’s concert and ensure that this cherished tradition doesn’t disappear due to the actions of a few. The Free Klezmer Concert in the Park is more than just a performance; it’s a celebration of heritage, resilience, and community spirit.
