Are You Bad at Maths? Think Again!
Welcome to The Maths Movement - Real World Maths Unleashed—the event that will turn everything you thought you knew about math on its head!
Open to everyone, whether you have children at our school or not - you are invited.
You’ve been misled your whole life. The truth? There’s no such thing as being “bad at maths.” It’s time to break free from this myth and discover the mathematician within you and in turn allow your child to multiply their abilities!
Maths isn’t just about boring equations and tedious homework. It’s the secret sauce in your favourite video games, the rhythm in your music, and even the reason you can read this right now!
“The Maths Movement” is not your average math event. We’re here to shatter the myth that you’re either “good” or “bad” at maths—and to prove that everyone is a mathematician at heart.
“We’re pulling back the curtain on one of life’s biggest lies,” says Principal Emma Fowler. “The idea that math ability is innate is not just wrong—it’s harmful. We’re here to prove that everyone is a mathematician.”
Key Topics: Everyday numeracy, debunking math myths, positive math talk, real-life math applications.
“We’re going to show parents that they’re secret math geniuses.”

Whether you’re a maths whiz, a parent, or someone who breaks out in a cold sweat at the sight of numbers, this event will transform your relationship with mathematics.
Some critics may argue that the event’s approach is too unconventional, insisting that math is math and cannot be softened with games or gimmicks. However, we believe many students struggle with math anxiety because they perceive themselves as "bad" at math, which undermines their confidence. Our goal is to change that narrative by helping students feel capable and confident in their math skills.
