Looking for something fun and educational for your tamariki these holidays? Kids Into Coding Kapiti has two exciting coding sessions happening on Friday 3rd October – both held in the meeting room at Coastlands Aquatic Centre, Paraparaumu.
👧🧒 Option 1: Intro to Coding
🕘 9:00am–10:00am
📍 Ages 8–12
💰 $10
Perfect for beginners! Kids will explore basic coding concepts in a fun, hands-on way. Just bring a device (Chromebook, Windows laptop, or MacBook).
🎮✨ Option 2: Scratch + Microbit Game Coding Workshop
🕥 10:15am–1:00pm
📍 Ages 10–12
💰 $80 (includes a Microbit to take home with their own game loaded on it!)
In this extended session, kids will create a game using Scratch, then code a second game for the Microbit – a pocket-sized computer they’ll take home and keep! No prior experience needed – just bring a device and your creativity.
