A surprise smash and a landmark of LGBTQ+ cinema, the film follows a joyous group of lip-synching drag divas traveling across the Australian outback in a bus.

Guy Pearce was a soap star when he jumped into the role as the wild Felicia. Hugo Weaving is moving as the errant dad, Tick. British icon Terence Stamp is a revelation as the bereaved trans woman Bernadette, who may have met the man of her dreams.

Fun, fantastic, and full of bubbly disco music, the show is stolen by Lizzy Gardiner and Tim Chappel, whose extraordinary costumes take flight, garnering many awards, including Best Costume Design at the 67th Academy Awards.

Paducah Film Society is screening The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in collaboration with Paducah Pride United Together. Dressing in drag is welcome and all attendees are encouraged to come as you are.
