June Bug Ball

Celebrate pollinators and all things buggy at the June Bug Ball! Come dressed as your favorite insect and explore the wild and wonderful world of bugs, pollinators and garden friends through crafts, live entertainment and hands-on fun.

This event is free, and includes admission into the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.

Highlights include:

• Face painting from 2–4 p.m.
• Mad Science “Bugs, Habitats & Hives” show at 3 p.m.
• Home Depot Kids' Workshop

• Crafts and giveaways

• Spittlebug bubble station

• Cricket tasting (if you dare!)

• City of OP Forestry Department talking bugs and trees

• Water quality activity with City of OP Stormwater

• Coloring sheets with Kansas State University Master Gardeners
• Insect and tree crafts by Marais des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge
• Butterfly and pollinator education
• Beekeeper chat with honey samples
• Worms, live insects and other squiggly discoveries
