The Ottawa Sashbear Walk is more than just an event—it’s a chance to connect, inspire, and make waves for mental health advocacy. Together, we’ll take steps toward breaking the stigma and supporting families navigating mental health challenges.
This annual walk is the largest event of its kind in Canada for emotion dysregulation and borderline personality disorder. People come together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and make waves for mental health—a journey to provide hope of a life worth living, for all.
Here’s what’s waiting for you on May 3rd:
- 5km Walk to the stunning Dechenes Rapids Lookout, featuring a special mindfulness activity to refresh and inspire. Dogs on leash are welcome too!
- Walk alongside Lynn Courey, Co-Founder of Sashbear, as we celebrate hope, resilience, and change together.
- Silent Auction filled with exciting items for you to bid on—all proceeds will go towards supporting families navigating mental health challenges.
- Photo Booth and other engaging activities to help you capture the memories and enjoy the day to its fullest.
