Local Legends – CragCare

Hi everyone,

CragCare is hosting another Local Legends event! For those unfamiliar, this is a night where local climbers from the Capital region come together to share their passion, stories, and adventures in climbing.

Join us on Monday, June 2, at Pour Boy—grab a bite, enjoy a pint, and listen to inspiring talks from:

• Chris Jackson & Mel Douglas – Longtime climbers in the region, Chris and Mel will share their experiences with the FQME and their incredible contributions to crag development and the climbing community.
• Jim Clark – A seasoned climber and developer, Jim has been instrumental in Calabogie’s development efforts and will discuss his work, along with contributions from others.
• Bill Barrett – A veteran climber and active ACC member, Bill plays a pivotal role in fostering interest and sharing knowledge about alpine activities.
• Martin Samson – A passionate adventurer in climbing, skiing, and mountaineering, Martin will share stories from his time in Ecuador, including an encounter with every mountaineer's unpredictable friend—altitude!

We hope to see you there for an evening of great stories, good company, and shared passion for climbing!
