OSA's Introduction to Life Modelling Workshop
Meet our models! The Ottawa School of Art is proud to feature two talented and experienced life models, Jorge Zamorano and Jessica Ruano, who will help you build confidence as an artist and deepen your understanding of working with the human figure.
If you’re new to modelling or looking to get back into it, join our beginner-friendly draped life modelling workshop. This relaxed, supportive 3-hour session lets you pose alongside Jorge and Jessica while learning the art of life modelling — posing for artists during drawing sessions with a focus on gesture, expression, and body awareness.
No prior modelling experience is required!
This fully draped (non-nude) workshop provides a respectful, safe, and empowering space for adults of all genders and body types.
Workshop Schedule
· 15 min – Welcome & Icebreaker
· 45 min – Life modelling Introduction
· 15 min – Break
· 1 hr 30 min – Props, Theory, Practice
· 15 min – Q&A
