The Awakened One offered us the Ānāpānasati Sutta - sixteen pathways of mindful breathing to cultivate presence, ease, and ultimately, liberation. The first 4 breathing exercises begin with the contemplation of the body (kāya) - an invitation to return home to this living, breathing form with gentleness and care. What if this was our doorway to peace? To befriend the body, soothe its tensions, and listen deeply, as if the body itself were a sacred text.
We’ll begin our day with gentle movement through Qi Gong and Tai Chi, embodying mindfulness in motion. These practices awaken the breath and invite joy and spaciousness back into the body - often where tension, fatigue, or subtle holding patterns have quietly taken root. in our experience, mindfulness is easier when our neck or lower back isn’t speaking so loudly.
From there, we’ll explore the body as a continuous structure, field of energy and awareness, bridging ancient insights of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and modern Western science, helping us expand our understanding - not just of how the body functions, but how it heals and holds wisdom.
Our time together includes fascia release techniques, TCM-based approaches, and daily rituals you can carry with you to restore flow, enhance mobility, and support embodied mindfulness in everyday life. Come with a beginner’s mind, a willingness to move gently, and perhaps a quiet curiosity about what the body might reveal when we truly listen.
All are welcome - no experience needed, just a breath and an open heart.
