About the event

Belly / Oriental DANCE
✨ Event Description ✨
✨ Sacred Flow: Oriental & Belly Dance Workshop ✨
Open to All Genders ⚧🌈

Join us for a unique Sacred Flow: Oriental & Belly Dance Workshop, open to all genders, where movement becomes a gateway to deeper connection, release, and joy.

🧘 We’ll begin with a grounding meditation and a space for open sharing — a moment to connect with yourself and set your intentions.

💃 Then, through a carefully curated selection of sensual and dynamic music, we’ll move together in a guided flow inspired by Oriental and Belly Dance traditions.

🤲 Expect moments of dancing in circle, mirroring each other’s energy, and following inspired movement led by the facilitator — creating a space where the body speaks, emotions move, and connection unfolds naturally.

🫁 We’ll close in circle, returning to stillness through breath, reflection, and a final gentle sharing moment — leaving you rooted, open, and more in tune with your inner rhythm.

❤️‍🔥 This is a space for self-expression, emotional freedom, connection with others, and the celebration of the body.

🌟 No Experience Needed
This workshop invites you to explore movement as a form of self-expression and emotional release.
Through guided activities, you’ll have the opportunity to express emotions, connect with others, and experience the joy of movement in a supportive environment.
No prior dance experience needed — just come as you are.

⚠️ Please Note
This is not a technical class in Oriental dance. Rather than focusing on specific steps, the workshop offers an opportunity to explore movement as a form of expression and emotional release, emphasizing personal connection, creativity, and community.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all individuals, regardless of gender identity, background, or experience level.

👤 About Your Host: Salma
Salma is a free-spirited facilitator passionate about creating spaces where dance becomes a medium for self-expression, emotional release, and authentic connection.

Of Moroccan origin, she draws from a rich Oriental cultural background that deeply informs her relationship with movement and expression.
Her journey with dance has been long and intuitive, exploring it both as a personal healing tool and a way to reclaim joy, sensuality, and presence. She has performed in various community settings and took part in a short film project that used dance as a language to raise awareness about the harm caused by sexist education and gender stereotypes.

With a Master's in Gender Studies and a Bachelor's in Human Relations and Spirituality, Salma integrates academic insights into her workshops, emphasizing freedom, personal growth, and the transformative power of acceptance.
She has also received training in theater, which she blends into her facilitation — using roleplay, imagination, and presence as tools for deeper embodiment and group connection.

💃 Believing in the medicinal qualities of dance, Salma curates immersive experiences that guide participants on deep, soulful journeys. Her carefully selected playlists and intuitive guidance invite attendees to explore their inner landscapes, fostering a sense of community and shared healing.

💞 Deeply valuing genuine human connection, Salma’s greatest joy lies in witnessing individuals embrace their true selves through movement.

She believes that feminine energy resides within all individuals, regardless of gender — a concept aligned with Carl Jung’s theory of the anima and animus, which posits that both masculine and feminine aspects exist within every person.
By embracing this inner balance, Salma encourages participants to explore the full spectrum of their being, fostering a deeper connection to self and others — far from limiting gender stereotypes.
