This is a 2 day course, that will provide students with their level 1 Usui reiki certification with additional training on how to apply this energy to animals.
Reiki is a Japanese energy technique that helps create a deep state of relaxation. This allows the body's own healing energy system to work more efficiently. It helps mitigate the effects of stress on the body and mind. It is a great tool for any animal lover to have. It empowers you to become part of your animals healthcare team. It helps both animal and person manage anxiety, chronic pain, and strengthen the bond.
Day 1: Usui Level 1 Reiki Training
In this class students learn the history of Reiki, an introduction to chakras and the human energy field. They receive their initial attunement to re-open the energy centres within us to access reiki energy. This wonderful energy helps us find inner calm and peace. Reiki helps our bodies natural healing system function so it can restore balance, at the physical and emotional levels.
It is important to learn how to work with the energy first before offering it to friends and animals. This ensures, we are not taken on the emotions and stress of others, or transferring our issues onto others.

Day 2: Animal Reiki Day
Working with domesticated animals is a unique experience as they may have become sensitive to their owner’s emotions, belief systems, and even their health issues. I have seen this often, the animal and owner will have the same chronic sore muscles or joint conditions. This is why, when working on the animals in a household, the balancing sessions may be affecting everyone that lives there. They are kind enough to help us heal our physical, emotional, and mental issues. Animals come into our lives for a reason, they are natural healers and messengers. The unique gifts they offer us in the form of life lessons, can be very profound and humbling when we are open to receiving them. Animals are natural healers, and spend a lot of time, and energy healing us. Animals know if we are unbalanced, and are not always willing to accept the reiki from us if we have not done our own self care first.
In this class, students will continue to work with the reiki energy, learn about the animals chakras and different ways to apply this wonderful gift to help their furry friends.
