The Blackburn Fun Run – A Community Event for All Ages!
Come out and take part in the Blackburn Fun Run, a family-friendly event as part of the Blackburn FunFair.
This year, we're offering 1K and 2K cross-country routes —a great way to get active, enjoy the outdoors, and support local charities and organizations. Whether you're running, jogging, or walking, this event is open to everyone!
*Please note we are not offering a 5km option, this year.
Event Details:
Location: Starts on the Blackburn FunFair fairgrounds, on the soccer field behind the Blackburn Hamlet Community Centre (190 Glen Park Dr.)
Start Times:
9:30 AM - Kids 1K Fun Run
10:00 AM - 2K Fun Run
What to Expect:
• Both events feature an out and back cross-country route starting on the fairgrounds, through the Gloucester Allotment Garden
• All fitness levels welcome—walk, run, or jog at your own pace
• Great for families—parents/guardians can run the 1K with their children at no extra cost; strollers permitted but note that you'll be running on grass, uneven surfaces.
• Marshals and signage along the course to help guide participants
• Finisher medals for all registered participants
• Post-run refreshments for all participants
• This event is self-timed
• Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second, and third male and female who cross the finish line for each event
How to Register
Register online by June 7th, 2025, to save on fees!
On-site registration available the morning of the event. $15 for 1k or 2k. Just show up 30 mins before your event start time! Cash only.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun community event. Stay after the run to enjoy everything the Blackburn FunFair has to offer. We hope to see you there!
