The day before Burns Night, Dave Andrews, our Reader & Writer in Residence, will lead a session on the poetry of Robert Burns. You’re all welcome to bring your own favourite Burns poem to read if you wish. Or just come along, relax and listen!

Free but please book your place with library staff in branch, by phone, email or via Messenger.

Author Dave Andrews is from Wrexham but has lived near Oswestry for 30 years. Following several years teaching English and Welsh, he became a freelance writer and translator in 1996.

As Oswestry Library’s Reader and Writer in Residence, Dave gives regular talks on various aspects of English and Welsh
literature, conducts creative writing workshops for writers
working in either language and holds regular meetings with
writers. Dave may also be available at other times by prior
