Love and compassion are natural, positive qualities we all possess. Love and compassion can also be trained to emerge more often and impartially towards all beings. In this weekend course Ani Könchog will teach various methods to open the heart, mainly based on teachings received from Pema Chödrön. The practices include meditation on loving kindness and compassion, as well as tonglen meditation, which means "taking and giving". There will be ample time for meditation, questions, and discussions.
Ani Könchog Lhamo is ordained as a nun in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and is also a psycologist. She has practiced Buddhism for more than 35 years with Pema Chödrön, B. Alan Wallace and Tsoknyi Rinpoche as her main teachers.
This weekend she will teach in English.
Time: Friday 1 August 6 PM – Sunday 3 August 5 PM

Participation fee: 2350 NOK, includes teaching, 2 nights accommodation, and all meals.

KTLBS in 2025 can get 20% discount: 1880 NOK
Youth up to 18 years of age and ordained monks and nuns in robes can get 50% discount: 1175 NOK
Gold Card holders 2025 and ordained monks and nuns in the KTLBS sangha can attend without cost.
Documentation such as a student certificate, Gold Card, receipt for paid membership fee in 2025,
and the like must be presented on demand.
Registration deadline: 25 July. A minimum of 8 participants is required for the retreat to take
place. Maximum number of participants is 14.

The center can be reached by car (30 min. from Oslo S) or by bus (55 min. from Oslo S) . The closest bus stop is "Boger Gård". From the bus stop there is a 10-15 minutes walk to KSL.
