Griever's Toolbox

This group is intended for community members who reside in Middle TN, and family members of Alive Hospice patients regardless of location.

Walking through grief is a difficult process. This group will offer practical information about how to cope with many of the challenges grievers face. This group covers a different topic each month to equip individuals with strategies that they can directly implement as they adjust to life after loss.

February- Self-compassion

March- Anxiety / Fear / Uncertainty

April- Sadness / Depression

May- Loneliness

June- Other Big emotions – Guilt / Anger / Resentment

July- Stress / Increased Responsibilities

August- Self Esteem / New identity

September- Relationships while grieving

(Hard things people say and do, Boundaries, How to say no)

October- Support systems

(How to build a support system, How to ask for help)

November- Dealing with the holidays and Special Days

December- Creating Connection to Loved one – Continuing Bonds

Group is led for Grief Counselor Sherri McLario.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this group is provided free of charge. A suggested donation of $5 per session is appreciated.

Groups are held using the Zoom meeting platform. Participants will be asked to have their video and audio on during the group which will allow you to interact with facilitators and attendees. Unlike traditional webinars, we’re keeping our groups small and intimate in an effort to create community and combat the isolation that typically accompanies grief.

Registered attendees will receive the Zoom meeting link via email the day of the event.
