Emily has co-authored guides for The Conversation Project been a sought after speaker to discuss grief in the work place and has helped families consider how to have death conversations that are peaceful and powerful.
Emily has served diverse and underserved communities across the United States and around the world accompanying her spouse an active-duty U.S. Navy sailor on numerous relocations.
Emily’s professional journey in the mental health field began in the late 1990s and she has since worked in a wide range of clinical and community settings. Her work is guided by a passion for social justice cultural competence and supporting the next generation of helping professionals.
As a proud mother of two neurodivergent young adults Emily brings both personal and professional insight to her advocacy for inclusive accessible mental health care. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology a Master’s in Human Relations and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health combining academic depth with practical experience.
Emily remains deeply committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through education empathy and culturally responsive care.
