Painters is proud to be part of the Trails & Trains Festival! (Check out the rest of the awesome schedule of events below.)
Join co-owner of Painters Greenhouse Dana Owen as she discusses why planting for pollinators not only makes for a beautiful yard, but directly benefits you as well as the community and environment as a whole. She will provide guidelines on how to create an economical and beautiful low-maintenance pollinator garden, review some favorite pollinator plants for our area, and provide handouts and seeds to get you started!
Why Plant a Pollinator Garden?
- You need to fill a large space economically
- You want a pretty yard but have minimal time
- You want less mosquitos and ticks in your yard
- You love butterflies and hummingbirds
- You love birds (more pollinator plants = more food for birds!)
- You have kids (so many opportunities for learning & fun!)
- You want to make a difference and don't know where to start
You can plant for pollinators in any space - even a 5x5 space can make a significant difference! Come learn how easy it is!
Free and open to the public, to the left of the Arrowhead Gallery and Studios in downtown Old Fort.
