Practice season begins!

This is it, folks: your turn to have a go at Northwest Morris dancing! Make new friends and learn about old traditions along with Basingclog Morris Dancers.

We practice on Tuesday nights at Sherfield-on-Loddon village hall throughout the autumn and winter. This is our time to learn new dances and perfect the old ones. Beginners are welcome for free taster sessions any time — drop us a message if you have any questions, or just turn up and give it a try.

Advice for newbies: wear trainers and clothes that are comfortable for exercising. A water bottle is a good idea because you warm up quickly when you start dancing, but you cool down quickly when you’re having a rest, so bring a fleece too.
