3 Ethics CEs

In an aim to provide an overview of cultural competence in caring for Muslim clients, this training will explore the fundamental principles of Islamic faith and highlight the varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds within the Muslim community, empowering you to provide the best possible service. The course will focus on understanding the cultural differences in communication for better rapport building, as well as understanding the importance of and using the existing resources within the Muslims community. The presenter will provide an overview of ethical practice, cultural sensitivity and religious awareness when working with clients that identify as Muslims

Objectives Include:
-Provide a brief overview of religious and cultural aspects of Islamic faith in USA.
-Identify barriers and stigmas attached to mental health.
-Discussing best practice for building rapport and providing care to the Muslim population.
