Are you anxious about acuity? Concerned about catastrophe? Second-guessing scenarios around safety?

At this training, participants will discuss challenges around identifying and therapizing acute behavior in clients and explore best practices for referring clients and for managing crisis in acute or chronic settings. The goal of this workshop is to empower therapists to be confident even in the most stressful situations we encounter. Join Colin Turpin, LPC, as he explores assessments for safety concerns and best practices for crisis stabilization at every level of care. This presentation will also provide an overview of effective safety planning and options for referrals, when needed.

Objectives Include:
-Participants will be able to define crisis stabilization and rational detachment.
-Participants will be able to identify criteria for symptoms that warrant a higher level of care.
-Participants will be able to differentiate available services at all levels of mental health care.
-Participants will be able to compose a robust and evidence-based safety plan.
