Join us for our first-ever chef pop-up at The Traveler, featuring Chef Puga Bear! Chef Puga Bear is a vibrant food pop-up offering a delicious selection of homemade tamales, tacos, and other flavorful street snacks. Founded by Selene Puga, a passionate chef and full-time court and medical Spanish interpreter, this pop-up allows her to blend her love for food with her dedication to community. Through each market she participates in, Selene shares her culinary skills and passion, one tasty bite at a time, while continuing to expand her expertise in both her professional and culinary journeys.

✨Brisket Birria Tamales
Mexican style tamales filled with tender brisket smothered in our house blend birria sauce made with guajillo peppers and a carefully crafted blend of spices and herbs. Mild yet full of rich, authentic flavor.
✨Pork in Salsa Verde Tamales
A classic, handmade Mexican tamale featuring slow-cooked pork shoulder, shredded and simmered in our signature salsa made with tomatillos and Serrano peppers. Spicy, savory, and utterly delicious, embodying the heart of traditional Mexican cooking.
✨Brisket Birria Tacos
Our Birria Brisket Tacos feature juicy, tender brisket seasoned with our signature herb and spice blend, slow-cooked to perfection. Served on warm corn tortillas, these street tacos are garnished with fresh cilantro, onions and a lime wedge adding a burst of freshness. Add melted mozzarella for a touch of sinful flavor.
✨Chicken empanadas
The Gulf Coast meets Puerto Rico in a special fried pastry filled with chicken seasoned in a traditional sofrito similar to étouffée. Bringing a familiar southern flavor to a traditional Caribbean street snack.
✨Tres Leches Cake
Sweet, decadent and gluten free sponge almond cake soaked in milk, cinnamon and vanilla syrup garnished with citrus icing and fresh strawberries.
