In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll discover how to transform the way you approach sales by:

• Overcoming Limiting Beliefs: Identify the top 6 mental blocks that hold artists back from selling more art.
• Adopting a New Sales Paradigm: Learn a fresh, authentic approach to selling that’s engaging, fun, and aligned with your values.
• Mastering the 8 Stages of Selling Art: From starting a conversation to handling objections and closing the sale, you’ll gain a clear, actionable framework.
• Speaking About Your Art Effectively: Discover how to talk about your work in a way that captivates and inspires buyers.
• Building Long-Term Relationships: Explore tips and strategies to connect with collectors and cultivate lasting relationships.

The workshop is located at the Block Community Hub located in the 1955 Broadway building in Uptown Oakland. There are ample parking garage options near the event space like Franklin Plaza Garage, Telegraph Plaza Public Parking, or street parking.

This workshop is part of Oakland Art Murmur and East Bay Open Studios Artist Professional Development series designed to provide tools and insights to help artists navigate the art world while also making community connections within the East Bay’s vibrant artist scene.

Martha Zlatar is a trusted advisor and coach for emerging and mid-career visual artists, with over 22 years of experience helping creatives master the business of art while staying true to their creative vision. She combines her deep knowledge of psychology, business, and the arts to empower artists to build sustainable careers by developing financial confidence, marketing skills, and a strategic mindset. Martha runs her Coaching Practice, ArtMatch, from San Francisco.
