Celebrate Pride as we form a literal rolling rainbow. Come dressed in your favorite solid color t-shirt and we will line up in our ROYGBIV best before heading out. This will be a fun, slow, easy-going group ride and neighbors of all ages, with or without kids, are encouraged to join in the fun.
We’ll gather at Scoville park near Lake Street and Oak Park Ave at 8:45AM for a 9AM departure. We’ll have music and good cheer on this 3.75 mile loop, and this event will be updated with a route soon. We will end around 10am at the Scoville playground. A Day in Our Village is the same day starting at 11am if you care to hang around for that great event.
Pride flags will be distributed for your bikes, and our hope is to spread a message of love, inclusion, and celebration of all LGBTQIA friends and neighbors. If this is your jam and you are not into biking, join us at Scoville at 9am for the rainbow send-off.
We ride slowly for little peddlers and parents on cargo bikes. Everyone should wear a helmet and be able to ride without training wheels in a straight line. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who have not learned to pedal.
A quick disclaimer: These rides are intended to be informal gatherings of family cyclists and friends. While the spirit of the ride is that we'll all be looking out for each other, each adult is ultimately responsible for any young people they bring with them and deciding what’s safe and appropriate for you and your group
