Breakfast Speaker - Fr. Burke Masters
Join us in welcoming the pastor of St. Issac Jogues parish, Hinsdale, who is also an author and a healing retreat leader, in the next of our Breakfast Speaker Series!
At the June breakfast, Fr. Burke will deliver his talk entitled "The Six Tools of Discipleship".
There will be time for networking before the talk, and a hearty buffet breakfast will be served.

BIOGRAPHY FOR FR. BURKE MASTERS
Fr. Burke was born and raised in Joliet, IL. He attended Providence Catholic High School, where he converted to Catholicism in 1985. He studied mathematics and played baseball at Mississippi State University, where he played in the College World Series in 1990. He worked as an actuary for Kemper Insurance and as the ticket manager for the Kane County Cougars before entering Mundelein Seminary in 1997.
Fr. Burke was ordained a priest on June 1, 2002. He spent his first four years at St. Mary’s in West Chicago. From 2006 to 2018 he served as the Vocation Director for the Diocese of Joliet. In 2018, he became the Director of the Office of Adult Formation for the Diocese of Joliet. He was named pastor of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Hinsdale on July 1, 2022 where he continues to serve.
He has served as the Catholic chaplain for the Chicago Cubs since 2013, including being a part of the 2016 World Series Championship. He also works closely with the John Paul II Healing Center and Dr. Bob Schuchts, giving retreats and conferences on healing. He loves to lead pilgrimages to the Holy Land and other religious sites. He is the author of the book “A Grand Slam for God”, released by Word on Fire in August of 2023.
