ABOUT THE CLUB: Koonung Bushwalking Club has about 150 members of all ages from the Eastern and surrounding suburbs of Melbourne. We offer a wide range of day walks in local, Regional, State & National Parks on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Also conduct base camps, overseas trips and/or other social activities.
Walks are conducted for all levels of fitness from beginners to experienced and for all ages. Visitors are welcome on all walks. We recognise that walking, particularly in the outdoors enhances fitness, wellbeing and good health, is fun and a great social activity for all ages. Training is offered to those members interested to acquire navigation, first aid and leadership skills. We are affiliated to Bushwalking Victoria and also provide insurance cover for all walkers.
"Walk-Talk" is our monthly magazine. Club meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.45 pm, usually with a guest speaker covering different topics. Visitors are very welcome.
