After the success of last year's inaugural event, Try Bushwalking Month is back! And this year its in September, the perfect temperature for hiking (better than the super-hot November last year!).
So this September, discover new trails, build your confidence, and explore the outdoors with a local bushwalking club. Whether you’re brand new or an experienced walker keen to see what clubs have to offer, there’s a walk for you. Enjoy stunning scenery, learn new skills, stay safe, and make great connections.
We have clubs represented from all corners of Victoria. From Mt Sturgeon to Bushrangers Bay, Yarra Flats to Wron Wron State Forest and beyond, there's something there for everyone. There's even an info session in Portland, and a beginners overnight hike at Wilsons Prom!
This year we are listing all of the "Come and Try" walks on the BWV website, then you can contact the clubs directly to make a booking. Many are free, or low cost to register, so have a browse, and choose the walks you want to join.
